adhesive weather stripping door

Do you ever notice a chill coming in through your closed door? Or do you occasionally hear a whistling sound when the wind is howling outside? But if you do, that can be a draft! During winter months, chilling cold drafts make your home feel uncomfortable. Which is where door weather stripping comes in to save the day!

Door sweeps are constructed out of a special material specifically used to fill door frame gaps. These are the small spaces where cold air can creep in, leaving your house feeling chillier than it otherwise would. And with weather stripping, you can seal those drafts and ensure your home feels that much warmer and cozier. The good news is that weather stripping is very simple to install, and makes an excellent solution for any drafty doors.

Seal in the warmth - a guide to adhesive weather stripping doors.

Winter is not the season to skimp on keeping your home cozy. You want it to feel like a comfortable and welcoming space for you and your family. Using weather stripping for doors is a great way to achieve this! It prevents all the warm air from your heater from escaping out of those little gaps and keeps the cold air from entering your home.

To apply weather stripping to your door, you will need to measure the door frame length first. The frame where the door closes will have to be measured and will require a measuring tape to know exactly how many inches long it is. Measure and cut the weather stripping to the length of the door frame. Peel the backing off the weather stripping — the sticky part — and bit by bit press it into place. Ferret it through the door frame and lightly tap it down to adhere well. This needs to be done on all four sides of the door frame, not one side.
